This is where everything started, at Rua do Poço dos Negros, 168. The Lisbon blue sky and the sun warming our customers who are enjoying their coffee at the outside seats, checking the Tram 28 passing by are a daily reminder of life´s small and great pleasures. Buna is located in a vibrant neighborhood full of great shops, restaurants and a huge international community that chose Lisbon to be their home. Buna São Bento opened in 2020 and when you enter your doors, you will notice that you are up to a cozy experience in a place where people actually talk to each other (about coffee and everything else!), make connections and keep our vibrant spirit alive every single day. No wonder that the Standart magazine described Buna as “The House of Hugs”.
Our roasts are never too dark, and Buna has became a favorite spot for many exactly because we serve coffee beans that tend to be more on the lighter side. We are proud of our batch brews and our baristas will gladly help you chose the beans for your V60, if you have the time to enjoy a great coffee experience.
Our kitchen is small, but here we created the famous pistachio cream croissant and as best sellers on the food front, we have the Breakfast Mezze Plate, the Avocado Toast and the Granola Yogurt Bowl. hand brew V60 coffee (our barista can help you choose the beans) are of course the stars of the house.
Our cute and comfortable leather sofa is already a signature piece of Buna: a favorite of our regular customers and their pets! Is the perfect spot to be sitting next to our cool baristas, and they can explain to you everything you want to know about the specialty coffee world.
You can also take Buna home with you: we sell organic cotton hoodies and t-shirts, mugs, beanies and a huge variety of coffee beans and items like filters, grinders, etc, from Hario, Comandante and Chemex.
Buna is also raising the bar at all levels and we proudly serve Mork Specialty Hot Chocolate, from Melbourne, Australia. We recommend you to try the 65% hot chocolate with dark milk and river salt. Other partners worth mentioning are: Match&Co, Companhia Portugueza do Chá and Black Sense Chai.
Buna is a first come, first served coffee shop, so you don’t need to make a reservation. We are open 7 days a week and remember: no laptops allowed, only coffee & people!
